Boot into Safe Mode and in Device Manager, 'Remove' any/all Display Adapters
and Monitors and then re-boot. WinMe *should* re-detect (Plug and Play)
your video card and monitor, and should install the 'correct' original
drivers.

This should allow you to reset you display to your required settings.

N.B. - Be sure that you have a 'fresh' copy of the video drivers (often
supplied on a supplementary CD, supplied with your PC) or download the
'latest' WinMe drivers from your video card manufacturers web site.

Good luck

Mart

Kim, I guess you are in the UK (although you appear to still be working at
GMT rather than BST g) in which case try :-
http://support.packardbell.com/uk/my...mNr=spec_sm710
for the video driver for the Silicon Motion SM710 LynxEM.

Don't quite understand why Packard Bell site should be supporting a Hewlett
Packard PC - but that may be a different story. Maybe a look on the HP site
might furnish a User Manual? I have no info on the HP PC.
