Installing An XP App (Turbo Tax) On ME
The latest Turbo Tax software won't install on my WinME desktop. Reason
given is that WinME isn't supported. I knew that, but Turbo Tax insists on XP or better. I have no intention of putting XP on this old iron. At some point I will replace this old WinME desktop with a new one, but I don't have the time to migrate and also want to wait until later this year for better technology. Doesn't anyone know of a possible workaround that might allow me to install this app? Thanks, Len -- Eliminate "ns" for email address. |

Thanks for that most helpful workaround. You are obviously a genius with
this stuff. BTW I didn't know it wouldn't install at time of purchase. -- Eliminate "ns" for email address. "Bruce Chambers" wrote in message ... You didn't bother to read the Systems Requirements on the outside of the box before making the purchase? That's the very first thing one does when purchasing software. Hopefully, the store will let you return it. If not, you've paid a small price for an invaluable lesson. -- Bruce Chambers Help us help you: http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. -Benjamin Franklin Many people would rather die than think; in fact, most do. -Bertrand Russell |
