Epson 777 USB printer??

My friend has told me about her problems with printing under Windows ME,
she has an Epson 777 printer, and even though the drivers are installed
correctly and the printer is connected and turned on, the system throws
an error about a connection problem. Any idea what could be causing this?

Thanks in advance,
Kris

A faulty connection, perhaps?g
Try swapping the cable with another one

OTOH, it could simply be that multiple attempts to install the printer
drivers have confused the PC - try this.
Power down the computer, and disconnect the printer
Boot to Safe Mode
Remove ALL Epson Printer drivers both from Settings|Printers, and from
Add/Remove Programs
Reboot to Normal Mode
Check that there are no printers remaining installed.
The begin the installation again, from the start, following the instructions
EXACTLY.
