network printer seen but says offline
 

my home network used to work. I have two XP's one ME and
one 98se all sharing a network and ISP. I have a HP PSC
2210 directly connected to WinME. The 98se is a IBM
laptop. I can see all devices and printer in the
neighborhood. All devices successfully access the
internet. I can print on all computers except the laptop
(98se). When I try to access or install the printer from
the laptop it tells me the printer is off line and it
cant be used until it goes online. I am out off ideas.

You might have to uninstall the printer from the Win98se and then
reinstall it. Sounds like a driver or configuration file is corrupt.
