missing cab file
 

when i try to install new items such as a memory stick,to my pc i get this
message.......... missing WinMe\BASE2.CAB file ... how can i cure this and
is there a way i can dowload these files,thanks

BASE2.cab is one of the Win Me cab files containing files used when
installing Win Me and is in the Win9x folder on Microsoft Win Me CDs and a
copy usually placed in either the C:\Windows\Options\Install or
C:\Windows\Options\Cabs folder during the installation of Win Me although
some OEMs are known to place the cab files in a different folder on the
hard disk.

Have you searched for this file on your hard disk? BASE2.CAB is not
legally available for download.
