Safe Mode OK- But Not Normal Mode
Windows 98 SE...
Apparently on board battery expired. Replaced battery. Now can boot to Safe Mode but attempting to boot to Normal Mode, get the blinking dash in the upper left corner... where it freezes. I've tried some random "No" answers in the Step by Step Confirmation with no luck. I replaced the HD with another HD already configured with Win 98 and it booted ok in Normal Mode. Should I be looking at a possible bad HD or should I suspect the BIOS? Earl |

While you are there, set your Display Adapter back to Standard Display Adapter (VGA). Reboot into Normal Mode. If that works, re-install your video drivers. |
