removing recently installed drivers

I recently installed a DSL modem and the installation software gave me the
option of using a USB connection or a Ethernet connection. I chose the
Ethernet connection, however the software installed the USB drivers anyway.
How can I find the driver and to check if it is indeed being used by the
modem?

You shouldn't need to install a driver for the modem (unless its
internal I guess) for an Ethernet connection.

Delete the USB drivers.

The Property sheet for the modem, or any similar device, in Device
Manger will report details about the installed driver files.
