Problem installing Network Card

I'm trying to install an onboard network card.
I don't have the CD and I don't know the make or model.
I went through the list of drivers and tried a few that seemed sensible but
none of them worked!

Please help!

Check the labels on the card and also the printing on the chips and check
them using Google. You should be able to find the make of chipset if not
the card manufacturer and model and knowing this should hopefully be able
to find and download the necessary Win Me driver.

The card is an onboard card, it is just a little bit plugged into the
motherboard, it has no markings or labels on it at all.

Look at the labels/marking on the chips. If the NIC is built in to the
motherboard then check out the motherboard details on the motherboard
manufacturer's web site.
