Sound card problems
Windows 98. I purchased a sound card and installed it.
Everything but Direct X, Audio station and Windows media player is working. I keep getting an error saying "Chrystal fusion device is not detected." That was the old sound card which has been disabled and replaced. I went into the system settings and disabled it, then later removed it. I checked all the devices in the multimedia and they are working fine. I went to the update center and made sure I had the appropriate updates to windows. So as it stands, I get sound from every source but those three. UNFORTUNATELY!!! I can not seem to get any of the three to switch to the new sound card even after re-installing them. If nothing else, I would at least like to get Direct X to work. Is there a way to get the sound card recognised by these programs??? I haven't seen any signs of sound device selection in any options. |
