Windows 98SE computer detects unknown device
We recently purchased a used Dell computer. When we first started it, not
all the drivers were installed. I installed all the drivers but one and every time we start the computer, Windows detects an unknown hardware device. We cannot find what this device is. Any suggestions? |
Hi.
Can you see it in Device Manager? That may provide a clue as to what type of device it is. -gary "Southwest-Gal" wrote in message ... We recently purchased a used Dell computer. I forgot to mention in my earlier post, that inside Device Manager you
should click "view devices by connection" radio button. That may provide further clues. -gary "Southwest-Gal" wrote in message ... We recently purchased a used Dell computer. Thanks Gary. I will check that out later today.
