Sorry Mike,
I have Zone Alarm pro5.5.I missed that part in your
reply.

Restore point can be created. Will it disappear?I'll give you the
feedback.

Subject: No Restore Points

My Dear Mike,
I did create a restore point at 11.30pm Indian
time.It appeared on the calender.I run AVG free antivirus,ZoneAlarm

Pro&Spy
watcher. Can any of these be responsible?I would like to reiterate that I
don't need to restore at present but want to keep the option handy for
future need.
BTW Tune up Utilities is a thing of history.

Why do you keep starting new threads when replying to posts?

Disappearing checkpoints, other than by normal first in first out flushing
as new checkpoints are created, if happening, is different than lack of
automatic checkpoints. Hopefully you only have the one problem in which
case you will either have to remove the application blocking their
creation or make them manually. The latter is the easiest but does need
you to remember to make regular checkpoints.

error message"not allowed" when I reply to group.I will take up the matter
with local ISP providers.I will make regular checkpoints.
