Failure to find correct display driver and sound card
Need Help
I had a complete failure of my Windows 98 program so needed to reload Windows. I was not smart enough to save information on my video drivers (adapter and laptop display monitor) or my sound card drivers. I wiped the hard disk then reloaded Windows expecting that it would find suitable drivers during installation. Bad idea! Windows 98 could not identify my display, my display driver or my sound card. As a result, I only have 640 by 480 resolution and no sound. Any ideas would be appreciated! ed |
Failure to find correct display driver and sound card
You must try to locate and download the correct drivers from the web site of the
laptop manufacturer. Laptops often have proprietary drivers that must be loaded for the hardware to work correctly. -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP W95/98 Systems http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm "Ed Hawley" wrote in message ...
