Yes !
I use ultraedit and delete cookies [index.dat] and all that is not to my likening. ================================== If "they" were using a log file to call home, you'd hard about it by now. ========== Associate an editor (binary capab) with those various "log" crap. Yes but the info would soon be written back.
Anything in the Windows Temp folder (reboot first) and the Temporary Internet Files and Cookies (can be done from IE, tools, internet options). If you are trying to gain drive space, uninstall old software that you never use or can get by without. -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "linda" wrote in message ... hi, can u help me please... ill like to know if i can erase freely the contents inside the "c:\windows\applog" folder can i? also what other information inside the windows directory could be wipe in a safe way? i know that *.gid, *.tmp, *.bak can be deleted... what others can go out? thanks for ur time, linda. |
