hi, can u help me please...

ill like to know if i can erase freely the contents inside
the "c:\windows\applog" folder can i?

also what other information inside the windows directory
could be wipe in a safe way?

i know that *.gid, *.tmp, *.bak can be deleted... what
others can go out?

Yes !

I use ultraedit and delete

cookies [index.dat]

and all that is not to my likening.

If "they" were using a log file

to call home, you'd hard about it by now.

Associate an editor (binary capab) with those various "log" crap.

Yes but the info would soon be written back.

Anything in the Windows Temp folder (reboot first) and the Temporary
Internet Files and Cookies (can be done from IE, tools, internet options).

If you are trying to gain drive space, uninstall old software that you never
use or can get by without.
