Power Management on Laptops
 

all of a sudden when loading OS this message appeared
"the last time your computer went on standby, It stopped responding. Would
you like to prevent your computer from going on standby in the future?" then
it freezes and you can't continue the startup. It will go into safe modebut I
have been unsuccessful in finding the fault. If anyone has a solution I would
much appreciate it.

In Safe Mode, disable Standby. Is that possible? (Press the "Power" button on
the Screensaver tab of Display Properties.)
