Display doesn't revive after standby
 

Hi

I have Dell Inspiron 1100, it goes into standby mode fine, but on
revival the display doesn't revive. I presume that the computer as such
is out of the mode, because if I blindly use the keyboard keys to shut
down, it shuts down fine...or try some other thing like playing music
(with lots of effort though) it does it fine.

Can you please help me with this problem
