A friend of mine bought a PC 2 days ago that had been built for her. She has tried to load a chess program (the only program she has tried to load) onto it. She is getting a critical error message - 'not enough memory in load sprite 2 Last Windows Error=8'. The PC is a Pentium2 - 300 using Windows98. Could anyone point us in the right direction as to whether this is likely to be a fault with the program or a faulty installation by the builder. Sorry if this is not the right forum but I got this newsgroup address via Microsoft - still you look to have some interesting stuff on here. Thanks Mick Webster http://www.kilkenny.force9.co.uk/newhome.html If the game you are talking about is Combat Chess, that actually an error that occurs when you set pre-load animations, this causes an error that requires the entire program to be reinstalled clean. Its nothing memory related. |
