Info on setup of printer off of Win ME to print from an XP machine over network.

Setup: Networking is up and running on both computers DSL into Linksys 4
port router both computers connected to router.

My Upstairs computer is my main computer and I had setup a computer
downstairs for my mom 3 yrs ago.
My HP LaserJet 4p is attached to LPT1 downstairs so that mom does not have
to go over the stairs.

Both computers are in the grooup: WORKGROUP.
I've enabled sharing of the printer on the ME machine. and I can see the ME
machine listed in my network places.
But it says I don't have access to it when I try to get to the printer from
my xp upstairs.

Can anyone point me to to something online on this topic or possibly give me
some settings to check?

When I told ME to share the printer I left the password blank. The ME
computer is setup to boot up and just come up; Ie; there
are not various users on it. (It's turned off 95% of the time). It's only
on if mom checks email or If I want to print from upstairs.

I had this working on an NT machine untill 3 weeks ago when the motherboard
died and I upgraded her computer.

I'm fairly proficient with windows but past getting my computer on the
internet I'm not so familiar with Window's networking.
So you should assume it's probably a "dumb" error on my part!

I'll look at this group for any answers so just postem here if you would.

Thanks for any help! Dallas...
