Outlook express problems

When I try to down load email I get an error message that says msimn has
caused an error in directdb.dll. Outlook will now close. If you continue to
experience problems, try restarting your computor. If I try to reopen
outlook, I cant get to any folders and a window opens that says there is a
problem with my pop3 server. Sometimes it will take several minutes for the
first message to come up and other times it does so right away. Also, I cant
delete emails very often. When I can get outlook to open it may or may not
let me delete emails. I may have 80 or so in my inbox to delete before I can.
Then I have to do it as fast as possible because it may shut me off before I
am done. Once they are in deleted items I can dump them anytime.I am using
OE6 on ME.
