defrag problem

Did you try ctrl + alt + del and closing all of the
programs except explorer. that should allow you to defrag
-----Original Message-----
Disconnect your cable connection, disable any

screensaver, boot to Safe
Mode, and run scandisk followed by defrag there.

If still no joy, obtain and install ScanDefrag and run it:

The free ScanDefrag 4.2 is the most advanced disk

maintenance
program there is. It runs Disk Cleanup, ScanDisk, and

Disk
Defragmenter. It's easy to setup and use, and it can

deal with
problems like "drive's contents have changed:

restarting...".
Get it and read about all the options it has that you

can use.

Hi,
I already have Spyware blaster so ads don't seem to be

the
problem. I disabled my virus scan, the spyware and the
popup blaster but the C: still won't defrag past 2%. I

ran
it for another 2 hours; still nothing. Is there anything
else I can try? I have cable connection with lots of
memory but everything runs so slow.

Thanks.
