Media Player won't Install
-----Original Message----- Hey there! Ok...about a week ago, media player mysteriously wouldn't open any more and the icon was gone. So I reinstalled media player 9 on one of many user profile screens on the computer. It works on every screen except my user screen. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling...still didn't work. I also tried installing mp version 7 and it won't open ('internal error'). So as it stands now, media player works under every user profile except mine. I've scanned for viruses and nothing came up. Also since this problem occured, I can no longer run my norton disk doctor (says a application is writing to the hard drive, but all other applications have been closed down). I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem. It's really odd because I can get to the point were media player asks me to configure it so like what files it should be the default player for and such. Then, when I click finish a few seconds go by and then it tries to start the whole configuration process all over again. I would be most appreciative to any help. . might be a virus.try to reboot the computer.back up ur files beforehand.if it is a virus.the problem might remain. |
