When I posted my previous question, I should have addressed it differently.
In the file menu the 'Send' button offers three choices:
Page by E-mail
Link by E-mail
Shortcut to Desktop.
The shortcut button works, but the other two don't.
The 'Message' box doesn't show up anymore and nothing happens when I click
on them, preventing me from sending the desired page by mail.
What could have caused this failure and how can it be fixed?

Not sure what could have caused your issue......is it the same for any
page you are viewing?......or just certain ones? I may be off base here,
but, I would attempt a "repair" of IE and see if it helps....can't hurt.

Fixing IE didn't yield any results, Heirloom.
Will just have to leave it 'as is'.
