What else is there? Have you looked for a non-browser solution? There a re quite a number of youtube downloaders, and quite likely some that are 98-compatible. Just google "youtube downloader" |

Just google "youtube downloader" From looking at them a while back, I think most are rather "spammy". Getting them to work on XP was hard enough then let alone W98. There's one written in the Python language which might work if Python can be installed on Win98. Here it is: https://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/ Try installing the Python library separately if the combined Windows binary doesn't work. But an easier option would probably be one of these sites that I have found to work with Firefox 2 without Java or Flash: http://en.savefrom.net/ http://www.keepvid.com/ In Keepvid you need to select the "HTML" option at the bottom of the page. Sometimes it still doesn't work - HTML support seems to break a lot there. SaveFrom has always worked for me in FF2, but I haven't used it in over a month and I think they changed the site a bit. Hopefully it's still OK. Of course make sure Javascript is enabled in your settings. This is an easy way to find download sites: http://www.deturl.com/ -- __ __ #_ |\| | _# |
