Win explorer does not display any contents
Hi fellow posters,
I have Win 98 SE and all of a sudden every time I start the file explorer I can see just the hard drive icon but no file names nor folder names listed. Is this a common fault that someone knows about or does anyone have an answer for me please. I need help before I go crazy trying to work this problem out... I have alreday spent a few hours trying to get it to display the contents. Oh, in DOS it also displays blank unless you know the folder names.. eg: if you type in CD\Windows it will go into the windows directory but a simple dir displays a blank and not the directory structure or file names??? HEEEELLLPPPPP.... |

I am sure I didn't attribute all my directories to be hidden and system only but when I unchecked the hidden and system attribs everthing is back and normal again. Some gremlin. |
