50% power
 

occasionally my screen will flash a 3"x 3" square msg box
says 50% power with arrows pointing in different
directions also computer has been running real slow. any
help is appreciated

Start with a full scan with an up to date anti virus program followed by a
spyware hunt:

Spyware/scumware/adware are causing numerous system problems. I recommend

If you are running a Pentium cpu, it may be overheating.
Perhaps the cpu fan quit running.
