intellimouse explorer hangs system after 2min. of inactivity
 

intellimouse explorer hangs/freezes my Thinkpad after approx 2 min. of
inactivity. If use it conatantly works fine . If let it sit or use the
trackpoint for more than 2min. it hangs the system. If I gently move the
intellimouse sometimes it unfreezes the system. The longer it remains idle
the harder it is to unfreeze it or for the system to recognize that the mouse
has been moved. Is this hardware or software related? Any suggestions?
