Verizon Hi-speed Install
My sister-in-law is running Win 98 SE. Just went to Verizon hi-speed.
Installed IE6 as required but on-line installation hangs on an initial download of Verizon software it says is required for installation. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? |
Verizon Hi-speed Install
According to this page Verizon Hi Speed supports Win98/98SE.
http://www22.verizon.com/Residential...sOne/97725.htm Has she fully updated Windows since installing IE6? Does she know about IE6 restrictions that include a small bar that slides down from the top (yellowish) that may be prompting her to install an Active-X or other download manager? Or about the pop-up blocker? Verizon seems to have a quite decent Support section at their site. I think if she simply took the time to read through some of those pages, she'd find her answer. Verizon provides both Chat and Phone support. Perhaps they know exactly why a Win98 system would balk when trying to install or start a download manager (which I'm nearly certain is what's happening.) -- Gary S.
