"printer offline"
I have a Win98 computer that was printing to a networked (ethernet tcp/
ip) HP LaserJet 4si. The other day a user reported to me that the computer would no longer print to the printer. Other computers (running XP) can print to it without problems. The Win98 computer reports the printer as "offline". I can ping the printer's jetdirect IP. If I try to have windows bring the printer online, it says it cannot do so. I tried removing the printer and adding it again with the HP jetdirect setup program, but it does not find the printer. What should I do next? Thanks! |
