NEW Windows Explorer Locking Up

I know this has been on EVERY post recently, and trust me, I've gone
through them all, but this post has a new little twist.

Problem 1:

When using Windows Explorer, it locks up if you click the "+" icon next
to any folder, however, you can click on the folder and open it just
fine.

Problem 2:

When adding an attachment to an email in Outlook, windows explorer
locks up if you hit the dropdown box or click anywhere in the window.

Problem 3:

In Internet Explorer, the Address bar has become useless. You can type
in an address but it won't go there, you can't hit enter or the green
"Go" button.

We've tried the fixes such as disabling Third Party Browsers,
uninstalling SP2, even went to so far as to restore the system to a
date before this started happening.

Any ideas?

You appear to be running XP rather than Win Me (you mention SP2) and I
can't help but wonder whether your problems are a result of installing the
recent 908531 hotfix (see KB912812 "MS06-015: Vulnerability in Windows
Explorer Could Lead to Remote Code Execution"

For details of possible solutions see KB918165 "You may experience
problems in Windows Explorer or in the Windows shell after you install
security update MS06-015" (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918165). If
that doesn't help then I would recommend posting to a newsgroup supporting
those running XP.

Try posting this to a more appropriate newsgroup - either Windows XP or
Windows Updates.
This is a newsgroup for users of Winodws Millennium Edition
