I lost my Windows Millennium Edition (Me) install disc I need it to replace a
few missing applications in my computer. Where or how do I find one ,that is
if I can?

The Win Me disk contains the operating system rather than applications
although it does include a few basic utilities such as WordPad. If your
problem/loss is recent, you could try using system restore and roll your
system back to a checkpoint created before you lost the files.

I'm sorry what I should have said was operating system. I know how to
navigate around my computer to find and fix things but I'm not computer
literate.

If you can't find one immediately, and need to rescue your files, or are
open to installing a new supported os. Try a Linux live cd like u-lite.
The "live cd" can boot the u-lite linux os from the cd without installing
on your harddrive. You can mount your windows formatted hard drive in
pcmanfm under the menu Applications/System Tools/Pcmanfm. Open pcmanfm
then simply by click the hard drive icon. This will mount it. Then save
your important documents and and files to an online storage like
freshdownload, badongo or megaupload. Then you can install the linux cd
to your hard drive, or reinstall winme.

U-lite is good for your era of computer. It has a browser, word
processor, spreadsheet program, instant messenger, and media player,
simple paint program and cdburner, preintalled. You can access thousands
of other programs through synaptic. Under the menu Applications/System
Tools/Synaptic.

You can download the live cd image here. http://u-lite.org/content/get-u-
lite. Then you need to burn it with a cd burner. After you burn it, it
can be used to boot your computer.

If all else fails ....

Normally, when installing Me from a MS retail CD, it copies the whole
installation setup folder and files to windows\options\install. But with
(some?) OEM CD's, it copies them to windows\options\cab (or possibly another
folder, depending on the OEM). Warning :- Not all OEM's copy the
Installation files.

The folder would normally be about 150MB in size and contain some 20 or so
CAB files (e.g
WIN_10.CAB) along with other files including a setup.exe file.

If that folder has been installed on your HDD then using whatever media you
are able to connect to your PC e.g. memory stick, recordable CD, etc., then
copy/burn the folder and its contents to your media and you will have a
complete set of WinMe Installation files.

Lets hope you (still) have the folder/files on your PC

Royal Discount sells OEM version of 98 (2nd edition) for around $65. They
don't have ME and 2000 is quite expensive.
