Win ME freezes
 

When I sign on to Win ME everything comes up but everything (mouse, keyboard
etc.) freezes shortly afterward. Can anyone tell me what is happening and
how I can correct the problem?

How 'shortly afterward'?

Long enough to at least use the keyboard/mouse at all or immediately the
desktop 'populates' with icons etc.?

Had you changed anything (settings, hardware, software etc.) immediately
before this problem started?

You *might* be able to run System Restore and roll-back to the last
time/date your machine was working 'normally'

Does the same thing happen in Safe Mode (Ctrl or F8 Keys during bootup)?
