When you look at how MSFN uses twitter, it's mainly to communicate new things about Windoze 8. It's never been used to communicate something more practical and seemingly more important to the entire MSFN user-base - which is the status of their website. And all those old Win95/98 articles and patches are now gone? MSFN really never acted as a server for files - that's mainly done at mdgx.com. All their forum posts are (presumably) still there, except that the last time MSFN went down (about 3 weeks ago) they lost the most recent 3 or 4 days worth of postings (to all forums). |
