No Sound on WIN98

Please help!

I can't hear sound on my computer. It used to work ok, but
now I cannot. What steps can I take to get my sound back?

Try going to Start Control Panel System, then going to
Device Manager, and looking for your Sound Card/Audio
Card. If you can't find it, or it has an X or an ! on the
icon, then you must reinstall it. You can do this using
the CD you got with your soundcard or motherboard. How far
does this get you?

Hi suzan,
Try this:
Looking for your Driver name or file &/or software GO
TO: http://www.driverguide.com/

Still don't know the name or manufcturer of your
driver. On your driver, look for a sticker
with an FCC ID number. Then go to this site to determine
the manufacturer of your card.

Hope this will help you.
