thanatoid pinched out a steaming pile
: Now to the "probleme du jour". I'd like to prune my newsrc file(s) since as you know, many groups get 10 posts a year, if that. Others get 30,000 posts a day, but those are easier to avoid and there's a /lot/ less of them. I have tried at least two dozen text processors including Ultra Edit etc., and no one will do this, i.e. remove all lines containing a string of numbers lower than, say, 200. Try "WinVi" text editor. It allows all sorts of advanced edits: hex, bin etc. -- http://www.bds-palestine.net/?q=node/9 ___ ___ ___ ___ /\__\ /\ \ /\ \ /\ \ /:/ _/_ \:\ \ \:\ \ \:\ \ /:/ /\ \ \:\ \ \:\ \ \:\ \ /:/ /::\ \ _____\:\ \ ___ \:\ \ ___ /::\ \ /:/_/:/\:\__\ /::::::::\__\ /\ \ \:\__\ /\ /:/\:\__\ \:\/:/ /:/ / \:\~~\~~\/__/ \:\ \ /:/ / \:\/:/ \/__/ \::/ /:/ / \:\ \ \:\ /:/ / \::/__/ \/_/:/ / \:\ \ \:\/:/ / \:\ \ /:/ / \:\__\ \::/ / \:\__\ |

Try "WinVi" text editor. It allows all sorts of advanced edits: hex, bin etc. So do many others I have used, but I certainly don't mind checking out another one. This not a bin or hex problem though. It's only been half a day but I think it'll be spreadsheet time for this one. -- "We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are." Anais Nin |
