Microsoft Word 2000 will not reinstall
 

"The patch package could not be found" erro," appears whenever I try to
reinstall Microsoft Word 2000 from my CD. I removed the program using the
add/remove utility, the registry entries and folders but still have the same
error whenever I try to reinstall Word 2000.

In summary this problem can occur if the registry contains Microsoft
Windows Installer information from an earlier Office installation. The
fix is to download and run the Windows Installer Cleanup utility.
