Memmory, and CD ROM Drive acting funny

Memmory, and CD ROM Drive are acting funny!!!! When I turn it on it looks
like everything was deleted on desktop, when I go to "My Computer" it says
"Your current security settings prohibit running Active X controls on this
page. As a result the page may not display correctly." The Start Menu freezes
the computer plus the CD ROM Drive is jamed or something!! What do I do?!?!

Try booting to Safe Mode and then using System Restore to roll your system
back to a checkpoint created before these problems started.

To boot to Safe Mode.
Tap F8 gently but continuously as you boot your PC. If that doesn't work,
repeat but this time tap F1. This should then load Win Me with a minimal
driver set, low resolution and colour depth and with the words Safe Mode
in each corner of the screen.

To use System Restore.
You can access this in a number of ways ranging from the link in Help &
Support through to clicking the link at Start | Programs | Accessories |
System Tools | System Restore.

Best of luck,
