Safe Mode taken over!

Could someone please help as the last few times I have started up, it starts
up in Safe Mode. I did come across a resolution about this within MS but it
says to find a line within a file that I don't have ie, BootSafe=1. It said
this was in Wordpad but I have Notepad.

Thanks heaps

Safe Mode taken over!

Sorry but I checked these articles out and they don't apply to my problem.
The first one 'the computer always starts in safe mode' is what I was talking
about how I couldn't find the line 'BootSafe=1' in the msdos.sys file
probably it said to use Wordpad but I have Notepad. So i presume I need
instructions if I use Notepad.

Can anyone help still?

Thanks

Safe Mode taken over!

If you have Windows 98, you have Wordpad as well as Notepad. If you were
able to open the Msdos.sys file in Notepad (a much better choice if you are
going to do any editing), and you did not fine the line, then it probably
isn't there and this is not the cause of your problem. Bootsafe=1 in the
Msdos.sys file is only one possible cause of booting into Safe mode.

If you checked out the other article that Ron mentioned and it didn't apply,
then take a look at this one:
