Corrupted system fonts in ME
 

Recently I downloaded some foreign language/glyph fonts
(Ancient Hebrew, Syriac etc) and having installed them,
found that all my ME system fonts werer overwritten. This
only seems to cause problems with some menus in Outlook
Express, Picture It and other Works/Office programmes
which show rectangles instead of the expected letters.
I reinstalled ME, which did not lose any valuable data,
but neither did it correct the fault.
Any ideas anyone?
