5.5 inch floppy disks by

We have stacks of 5.5 inch floppys with dated, but important files on them.
I have inserted a 5.5 drive into a computer running win98 but it does not
detect it. I don't know what brand the drive is. Are there ways to get the
computer to read the 5.5's and be able to transfer the files to the HD...

52MAXX CD-RW only detected as CD by Win98 SE by

I have Windows 98 SE and it only see my Memorex 52MAXX
2452AJ (cd-RW) made March 2003 as a regular CDROM. I have
searched all over for a driver so this will work, any
suggestions

80 G removeable disappears by

I had partitioned my 80 G USB drive a month or so ago and connected it
a few times transferring files to it from my desktop HD.
Now all of a sudden when I connect it via USB I can't see anything on
the drive.
The drive would show up as 4 partions. Now it's showing as one and no
files are showing...

98 does not give Command prompt in safe mode. by

When I on the pc and try to go to safe mode, it gives the 'safe mode' menu
and says I must go to commandd prompt option and do a scanreg. However when I
hit the option, the C: NEVER appear.
After a long while it gives the following missing files...
