Windows ME networked with Windows XP Pro - DHCP... by

Hi guys,
I have a desktop pc (running windows ME) connected to a laptop via an
ethernet cable. The Laptop has a broadband connection and I am running
internet connection sharing.
My question is, will WinME hang if it can not renew its address from the
DHCP server, on the laptop? Will any NIC...

When I boot my computer, the following message appears:
"Enter your network password for microsoft networking."
By clicking OK, the message goes away and my desktop
appears, but I would appear to get to my desktop without
this annoying message.

I receive the following error message "The TCP/IP Network
Transport is not Installed". I deleted the TCP/IP and
