WINIPCFG Help by
Sheila
I have recently installed a new PCI network adapter
(Belkin) on my system (Win98SE). In device manager, all
appears fine (working normal). However in winipcfg, this
device does not show up, therefore I cannot connect
through DSL. I spent much time on the phone with Belkin
tech support and as far...

Windows 98-2000 Linkage by
Ed
I have a Gateway Laptop (Windows 98) networked to a
PowerSpec PC (Windows 2000) via D-Link wireless connector.
I can't get my HP DeskJet 895Cxi printer to operate from
the laptop.
Could the problem be that different drivers are required
because of the different versions of Windows ???

98 clients unable to logon to win 2003 server by
andy white
I have a windows 2003 domain controller. Some clients are 98, when a user tries to logon they get a message saying the password is incorrect or "access to your logon server has been denied". Rebooting the PC resolves the problem for that user.

Windows/TCPIP/NetWare Major Issue by
Kathryn
Having just installed SBS 2003, I found out that one of my
client workstations wasn't talking to the internet, or
(more importantly) the new intranet. It was talking to
the old NetWare 5.x server just fine, and I can't remember
if it was talking across the network to the SBS2003 box.
I knew it...

TCP/IP setting changes by
Fred Marshall
Steve,
Thanks for the reply.
Well, all of the machines have static addresses in 192.168.1.x. Presumably
one does not need a DHCP server with static addresses - two different
things.
So, if just *one* of the machines switches all by itself to APIPA with a 169
address, it isn't on the same...

I have a client who I've recently networked for the first
time. All win98 PCs and a Win2000 Server. Some PCs are
getting "VxD Vredir (01) + 0000xxxx called from

On support.microsoft.com it tantalizingly gives the answer
to the problem, and then directs...

insufficient memory by
Steve
Whenever I select my network printer (from within Word) I
instantly see a message that says There is insufficient
memory. Save the document now.
Word is the only program running, and a small text file is
open. I know that there is no memory problem plus the
file won't print.
Any ideas?
