Anybody had this phenomenon occur? I can no longer createnew files or folders.

My computer has 2 hdd's, 1 runs WIN2Kpro, 1 runs WIN98. I have a problem when closing folders Windows Explorer. Invariably, Explorer has the iritating habit of immediately and spontaneously re-expanding the folder and sub folder structure that I have just closed. On closing for the second time the folders usually remain closed. Any suggestions?
