No internet connection/wireless network by

My sons computer has win98 se and has worked just fine connecting to the
internet thru'
a linksys wireless adaptor. Today I can not get his computer contected to
the internet. The
adaptor has excellent signal, I can see his computer on the network from my
laptop (running Vista) but we
get nothing...

pages, i checked with my cable company & they said i am pinging and they can
see my computer. running win98se, everything used to work fine til i tried
sharing my printer over a wireless connection, i am not running...

We've had a small LAN running for quite some time with no problems: two PCs
(98SE + XP Pro), two printers, all connected to a Belkin wireless router . I
recently replaced the XP PC, and now can't get the PCs to talk to each
other. Either can ping the router (everything's RJ45 wired, in passing);...

I recently purchased a used Thinkpad 560/ w W98SE off eBay, its the PC I'm
typing this on. The prior org (or their corp it ) locked the computer down

to her broadband cable modem. Her ISP is suddenlink.com . Their website
claims they provide dynamic IP addresses rather than static ones, which I
believe is somewhat uncommon for cable ISP's .
