Can anybody clearly tell me the steps I need to do to to free up system resources. It go between 30-55% and I have screens freeze on me. I am using windows 98SE with 256MB ram. Any help would be of value.

Explore directory tree by Kevin
Can any one help? When I open the Explore window there is no directory tree on the left side of the window. The space normall reserved for this is there but not the tree. This just happened without any interference on my part. how can I restore this valuable resource?

I get this message quite often after the computer has been idle for a few hours. "AN ERROR OCCURRED IN YOUR PROGRAM - CLOSE - IGNORE" Details = NETDDE caused general protection fault in module NDDENB.DLL I have two computers doing the same thing. What is going on.

caps lock problem by gigi
When I open word it is always in Caps, this is a new problem, and when i press the caps lock key the cursor goes to the next line - I have to arrow up to get back to the line I'm actually working in. The caps lock key will then work in lower case.
