Adapters for USB ports by
[email protected]
When I called Del about a new computer, I asked if the computer had
parallel and serial ports. He said no, only USB ports. I said I had a
printer that needed a parallel port and he very rudely said I should buy
a new printer. After saying I had a perfectly good laser jet printer he
said I should...

Microsoft's future plans (???) by
Dan
http://www.informationweek.com/story/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=60403641
This article raises some interesting questions as to what Microsoft's future
will be and whether their gamble will pay off. Also, we do not know id IE 7
will be supported by 98SE as I think it should for security reasons.

I am adding the 98 general newsgroup for their feedback as well.
The question of what is wrong with Microsoft is simple but I welcome
corrections if I am wrong. smile Microsoft is a big company with not

I'd like to be able to access my "Freecom Classic"

The manufacturer_ of this external hard drive states there
are no drivers provided for use with DOS, but, I noticed
when I purchased Symantec's "Norton Ghost 2003"...

MS TV/Video Connection by
Menno Hershberger
I went into Network Properties to give myself a static IP tonight and
noticed an adapter installed that I have no idea how it got there. It's
"Microsoft TV/Video Connection". Winipcfg says it has an IP of
3.0.0.2 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255 (no gateway). I did a fresh
installation of 98 on...

forgotten how to do it. Can anyone provide that procedure - I'm thinking...
