installed mcafee from internet now comp. has trouble booting up and says it cant find inortonsavrt.vxd and symantec syenevnt.386 i can't find them anywhere to get rid of this any suggestions?

I get a blue screen and the message that the system is busy. Hit any key to continue. When I do I may get a Warning message (the the system is unstable), and then hitting the space bar gives me a black screen and a computer that needs to be restarted.

I cannot move the slider labeled "recording". All the correct boxes appear to be checked. It appears but does not respond to movement. ??? It did work fine last time I used it.
