my Norton Anti Virus protection. I have one heck of a

How can I find the "System Checkpoints" screen that the
system automatically creates every 10 hours that Windows
is operating or every 24 hrs? When I tried to restore my
computer to an earlier time using
Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore
I got a screen showing a MAY calendar...

have old compaq laptop intel pentium ll but 166 processor32mb ram has only cd drive not floppy, dad installed win me ran out of room for program i guess it starts as far as windows start with moving line but never starts how to f-disc or remove os and replace with more comparable os (3.1?) 95?...

I had assumed it was brought on by microsoft's critical update
but that wasn't the case.

Ok my sister just brought her HP Pavilion N5490 notebook

Message says "Explorer has caused an error in user.exe,
explorer will now close"
I am running Windows Me and explorer is ver=6.00.2800.1106
The computer has 128MB memory and a 30GB hard drive.
