Hi - There are occasions that I would like to manually flush (write) data to a particular hard drive. I don't want to select the Disable Write-Behind Caching For All Drives option under Troubleshooting Options. How can I manually force the writing/closing of open files of data to a hard drive?

When my computer freezes, I shut down manually with the power button. When I turn the computer on again, the yellow strip across the bottom of the screen no longer appears, checking the drive for errors because of improper shutdown. How can I restore this?
