Server 2003 connectivity by
Andy Harrover
Hi all:
I have a network with a few Win98 stalwarts that run a program that gets
crabby under XP. Recently, we've started having a problem where, after about
30 minutes of inactivity, the 98 station seems to lose it's connection to the
server and must be rebooted to resume proper operation....

Number of switches - 100BaseT by
Chris Watts
Ethernet timings dictate a maximum (and minimum) cable separation between
nodes. This is also reflected in the number of switches (or hubs) permitted

not for 100BaseT. Can anybody help with details of maximum number...

Peter
I had my XP networking with another computer at my old home.
Now it is a stand.alone. It works fine but it is slow to start-up.
What should I do to reset it to what it was before I configured it to
network?
thanks

No longer on the network by
Richard G. Harper
If you mean it's trying to log onto a domain, go into Network Properties and
select the Client for Microsoft Networks and un-select the domain login
there.
