cab files with 98se by
Bill Cunningham
I have a CD copy of 98se and it doesn't boot. Are there any cabinet
files that would contain mscdec.exe and some generic ms-dos driver? I'm not
quite sure how to boot this CD since it's not bootable. It's just a copy. I
know I will need io.sys and msdos.sys and autoexec.bat too atleast maybe...

Updating Lexar USB Flash/Thumb drives for Win98 by
[email protected]
Hi,
I am a big fan of the Lexar USB flash/thumb drives and Win98se OS.
Note: I also like WinXP.
Over the years, I purchased several Lexar USB flash drives, but in
order to use them on my Win98 PCs, I first use WinXP and "USBVIEW".
I believe USBVIEW is on the Win98 System CD, but if you can...

Bye, bye V4 WinUP site? by
Lee
It seems while our backs were turned, the famous WinUP site for 98
displays problems such that it no longer works right. It's quickly
trying to load from two sites but does neither finally. Nor does it
do anything else and so this is how it really ends?
Catalog site too. Both gone. Same...

Wordpad change tab-chars width in spaces by
R.Wieser
Hello all,
I've loaded some flat text into wordpad (as in: displayed as fixed-width
chars), and noticed that the tab-character (ASCII 0x09) width there is just
6 spaces, instead of the (by me) expected 8.
Does anyone know how/where to adjust this ?
Regards,
Rudy Wieser

Details about SETUPX.DLL by
[email protected]
Hi,
I recently ran "SFC" (System Files Checker) and received a report that
"SETUPX.DLL" may be corrupt. Note: I know how to restore it from the
System CD.
I was unable to find the details I wanted using a Google search, but
I did not want to spend a great deal of time searching.
