I cannot restart in DOS. When I do a Start/Shutdown/Restart in DOS the system restarts, I get a C:\Windows prompt but then the system will not respond to any keyboard input. What could be the problem and how should I go about determining and fixing. I am running on Windows98 Second Edition. TIA

When booting windows 98se i get the message "a fatal exception oe has occured at 0167:00000013. Current application will be terminated." It does this in both normal and safe boot mode. When I do a step by step boot with confirmation, I get the message when vuser.386 is loaded. Any ideas?

What is the difference between the Windows 98 Second Edition upgrade disk and the update disk. I need to re- install Windows 98, and when I did, it was asking for the SE disk. Do I need to use the upgrade or update disk?
